Lets get all Italian with a ham & mozzarella pizza.

You don’t get good music out of hungry people, something studio boss Gavin knows well. So here's something he likes dishing out to musicians during all nighters down at Orphan Studios.

Gavin's Pizza Dish


For the dough:

  • 550g self raising flour
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 300ml water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the topping:

  • 280g pizza dough from this recipe
  • 50g ketchup
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce 
  • 100g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 50g mushrooms, diced
  • 50g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 50g of shredded Denny Fire & Smoke ham
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C. 
  2. Put all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix into a dough. 
  3. Knead for about 2 mins until a nice firm consistency. 
  4. Add a little water or flour if needed.
  5. Lightly flour the pizza tray. 
  6. Using a rolling pin roll, out the dough on the tray.
  7. Bake on a baking tray for approx 10-15mins or until the base is light brown and almost cooked through.
  8. Mix the ketchup with the hot sauce; spread it over the crust. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Add your Fire & Smoke ham evenly over the entire pizza.
  10. Top with Denny Fire & Smoke ham along with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.
  11. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.

Serve, eat and enjoy, even if you’re not planning on making any music tonight.
