Because some like it hot

1 tablespoon of oil

1 onion, chopped

1 pepper, chopped

2 stalks of celery, chopped

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning

250g of long grain rice

1 x 400g tin of chopped tomatoes

400ml of chicken stock

8-10 whole raw prawns

1 pack of Fire & Smoke Ham

1 pack of Fire & Smoke Turkey



  1. Heat the oil in a pot and add the onion, pepper and celery.
  2. Sauté the vegetables for five minutes until soft – be gentle now.
  3. Add the garlic and Cajun seasoning and cook for another minute.
  4. Put in the rice and stir well to coat with the vegetable mixture, followed by the tomatoes and stock.
  5. Stir, season well and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes until the liquid is almost absorbed.
  6. Arrange the prawns on top of the rice, cover again to finish cooking for another 5-7 minutes.
  7. Gently fold in the chopped Turkey and Ham and allow to sit for another five minutes for all the flavours to mingle.
